Welcome to Aterra Wave Challenge 2011. Race rules.
The race follow the coast and goes from Viken to Helsingborg. Its about 18 km long and we hope for a nice downwind. If the winds comes from south we change the start to Helsingborg. The sea we paddle in is named Öresund and its often full with waves from winds, other weather systems, stream and boats.
The course
- 16 km downwind in open sea.
- Start is at the marina in Mölle just outside the pier.
- The finnish is on the beach at Fria Bad Helsingborg.

- First person cross the finnish line on the beach at Fria Bad in Helsingborg winns.
Navigation. You will pass following in order:
- Viken start
- "Svinabådan" lighthouse out in the sea.
- Hittarp/Laröd the last village before Helsingborg.
- Fria Bad Helsingborg the finnish is close to the yellow high house called "Skampålen"
Safety equipment:
- PFD
- Leg leash (surfski, outrigger)
- Cellphone in waterproof bag
- Sea kayaks and K1/K2 must have two flotation compartments or two buoyancy bags.
- Competitors must be able to re-enter from water.
Logistics:
- We can arrange transport of persons to Viken wich is the starting point.
After Race:
- Showers and sauna is in the "Kallis" just 100 m south from the finnish line. Food will be served on the beach. Wich is beside "Kallis". Price giving will be on the beach. Depends on the weather. This is included in the fee.
